Norma Jean Ullrich, nee Nagel, 87, of Belleville, IL, born February 26, 1934, in Belleville, IL, died Friday, November 26, 2021, in Belleville, IL.

She was a wonderful stay-at-home mom who devoted her life to her family. Being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was her greatest joy in life. She liked crossword puzzles, watching the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues, and watching the Game Show Network. She was in a pinochle card club for more than 70 years with her lifelong friends, Elsa Eltrich, Darlene Schwab, Faye Weis, Shirley Wilkemeyer, and JoAnn Halb.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Robert J. Ullrich, whom she married in 1960, and who died February 1, 2016; and her parents, Harry and Margaret, nee Kraus, Nagel.

Surviving are two daughters, Lynn (John) Budde, and Lauren (David) Frerichs;
four grandchildren, Alyssa (Cole) Kaemmerer, Lindsay (Patrick) Beeler, Michael Frerichs, and Ryan Frerichs;
a great-granddaughter, Piper Beeler;
and a sister-in-law, Marianne Swick.

The family thanks all of her wonderful caregivers who took amazing care of Norma and made it possible for her to stay in her home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Randy’s Rescue Ranch, O’Fallon, IL, or to the Belleville Area Humane Society. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation:  Friends may visit from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL. Masks are required.

 Funeral:  Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Rev. Michelle Torigian officiating. Masks are required.

Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, IL.

Lynn and Laurie: I was so sad to hear about your mom. Sounds like she had a wonderful group of caring and loving people taking care of her. I remember her as such as nice lady and always looking perfect. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your mom. I have so many good memories of her laughing and us singing and joking around a lot. She also thanked me 1000 times for making it possible for her to come home. I was proud to be a part of team Norma and to have made that possible!!!! Love you all!
