Mr. King was a miner for Peabody Coal Company before his retirement. He was a member of the Freeburg Sportsman’s Club.
Norman was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Marsha Lynn, nee Brueggmann, King, who died on April 14, 2009; his parents, Norman C. and Jessie E., nee Smith, King; and three brothers, Tommy, Johnny, and Fred King.
Surviving are four daughters, Julie (Jason) Lautz of St. Libory, IL,
Laurie (David) Sebol of Freeburg, IL,
Lisa King of Collinsville, IL,
and Cathy (Kent) Hoerchler of Mascoutah, IL;
eight grandchildren, Kyle and Tyler Hoerchler,
Samantha King,
Danielle, Spencer, and Zachary Lautz,
and Andrew and Emily Sebol;
one great-grandchild, Isabella Robertson;
and one brother, Harley (Wan) King of Freeburg, IL.
