Norman Joseph Leja, 74, of Belleville, IL, born October 17, 1942, in Chicago, IL, died Sunday, December 11, 2016, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Mr. Leja was a partner of Le Com Enterprises, Inc., a nationwide IT Executive Management Company.   He was a member of St. Peter’s Cathedral, Belleville, IL, he belonged to the Cathedral Knights of Columbus Council 15746, and was a member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Assembly 1829 of O’Fallon, IL.  Norman belonged to the Boy Scouts of America for more than 38 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Swansea American Legion Post.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph S. and Helen, nee Ptak, Leja; and a sister, Barbara Nielsen.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 44 years, Christine, nee Krol, Leja, whom he married on October 21, 1972;
a daughter, Natalie (Robert) Clinton of Cupertino, CA;
a son, Mark J. Leja of Chicago, IL;
three grandchildren, Katie, Emily, and Audrey;
a sister, Charlene (Max) Winters of Wheaton, IL;
his mother-in-law, Helen Krol of Jacksonville, IL;
three brothers-in-law, George Nielsen of Naperville, IL,
Stanley (Linda) Krol of Gilbert, AZ,
John (Julie) Krol of Jacksonville, IL;
and many loving nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Cathedral Knights of Columbus Council 15746, or to the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Assembly 1829, O’Fallon, IL.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation:  Friends may visit with the family from 10 to 10:30 a.m.  Friday, December16 2016, at St. Peter’s Cathedral, Belleville, IL. Recitation of the rosary will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday.

Funeral:  A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, December 16, 2016, at St. Peter’s Cathedral, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. John Myler officiating.

Burial with military honors will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO
