Mr. Werner was an employee of General Accident Insurance Company before his retirement. He was a member of Faith Family Church, Shiloh, IL. Norman was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He was preceded in death by his father, Delmar Werner; and his mother, Ethel J. Werner Sullivan, nee Schroeder; his step-father, Richard M. Sullivan; and two brothers, William F. Werner and James C. Werner.
Surviving is his 5 children, Eric “Rick” (Christine) Werner,
Brian (Marie) Werner,
Christopher (Carrie) Werner,
Joy (Mark) Wilcox,
and Jeff (April) Eschenfelder;
one brother, Kenneth C. (Betty) Werner;
one sister, Rose Marie Fontana;
two sisters-in-law, Patricia Werner and Joan Werner;
12 grandchildren;
two great-grandchildren;
and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2016, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Rev. John Temple officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
