Pat J. South, nee Dauphin, 82, of Swansea, IL, born March 16, 1932, in East St. Louis, IL, died Friday, January 30, 2015, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Pat was a nursing assistant retired from St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, William G. South, whom she married on July 2, 1955, and who died on October 15, 1988; her parents, John E. and Goldie V., nee Boisseau, Dauphin; and two brothers, John R. Dauphin and Kenneth L. Dauphin.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Stephen Stovey of Swansea, IL;
her grandson, Daniel L. Stovey;
sisters-in-law, Marguerite Dauphin and JoAnn Crow;
nieces and nephews;
an aunt; an uncle; and cousins.

Memorials may be made to the Belleville Area Humane Society.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation:  Friends may visit from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, at the funeral home with Msgr. William McGhee officiating.  Private burial will be Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at Mount Hope Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
