Patricia was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church and a member of the ladies’ sodality at the church. She was a registered nurse and volunteered with Hospice of Southern Illinois. She was a devoted wife and mother of eight children with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George M. Gundlach, who died March 2, 1983; a daughter, Therese Ann “Teri” Gundlach; a son, Clifford Alan “Cliff” Gundlach; her parents, Charles E. and Marcella, nee Voudrie, Kosar; and a sister, Elizabeth Ann Newgent.
Surviving are her six children, George “Nick” (Margo) Gundlach of Breese, IL, Karen (Mark) Sandheinrich of Belleville, IL, Charles Kevin Gundlach of Belleville, IL, Sharon (Brian) Joyce of Belleville, IL, Gerard M. “Gerry” (Sue) Gundlach of Millstadt, IL, and Anthony Kris (Michelle) Gundlach of Waterloo, IL;
a daughter-in-law, Mary Margaret “Meg” Gundlach of Belleville, IL;
15 grandchildren, Cian (Sam) Hogue, Jeremy (Christine) Sandheinrich, Justin (Sarah) Sandheinrich, Katrina “Kat” Rooks, Cassandra “CJ” (Tim) Dilbeck, Marcella “Marci” Gundlach, Christopher Joyce, Rachel (Mark) Williams, Mick (Casey) Gundlach, Tom Gundlach, Tyler Gundlach, Heather Gundlach, Madison “Maddie” Gundlach, Luke Gundlach, and Hannah Gundlach;
nine great-grandchildren, Abbey, Nick, Allie, Josephine, Michael, Kaylee, Tim, Brooklyn, and Bryce;
and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Fr. Matthew Elie officiating.
Burial will be at Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
