Patricia was born on November 18, 1925, in East St. Louis, IL to Ethel and James Needham. She graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Belleville in the class of 1943. She married the one and only love of her life, Carl G. Murphy, on January 10, 1948.
Pat had a strong commitment to her Catholic faith. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish where she was also a member of the St. Ann’s Society. She was a member of the St. Clair Woman’s Club. She volunteered for years at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, MO and at Mind’s Eye, reading for the blind.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents and husband as well as her sisters, Mary Wilson, Dolores Meister and Dorothy Goacher; and her brothers, James Needham and Joseph Needham.
She is survived by her two daughters, Carol Murphy and Kathy Murphy; and her sisters, Ann Carol Stephens and Catherine Burke. She loved all her many nieces and nephews and their spouses and children. She also loved all of her grand-dogs.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2022, at Blessed Sacrament Church, Belleville, IL. Masks are required.
Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2022, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Fr. Matt Elie officiating.
Private burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
