Patricia G. Schubert, nee Staab, 87, of Belleville, IL, born October 3, 1928, in Ste. Genevieve, MO, died Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Pat was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was a devoted and caring registered nurse for more than 30 years and retired from Memorial Convalescent Center, Belleville, IL, after 24 years.  Mrs. Schubert was a 59-year member of St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.  She loved to play golf, was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan, and was a very special person.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of nearly forty years, Joseph K. Schubert, whom she married on May 14, 1955, in Ste. Genevieve, MO, and who died on January 9, 1995; a loving son, Joseph C. Schubert, who died on December 9, 2014; her parents, Fridolin and Leona, nee Joggerst, Staab; and two brothers, Donald Staab and Fridolin Staab.

She is survived by two daughters, Peggy (David) Hassel of Swansea, IL,
and Shari Schubert (Kevin Barry) of Largo, FL;
a daughter-in-law, Pam Schubert of Belleville, IL;
three grandchildren, Molly Schubert, Andrew Hassel, and James Hassel;
a brother, Charles (Audrey) Staab of Ste. Genevieve, MO;
and many nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Visitation:  Friends may call from noon to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2016, at St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.

Funeral:  A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. William McGhee officiating.  Burial of cremains will follow at Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
