Print Obituary
Patrick Joseph Brady, 46, of Belleville, IL, born July 13,1977, in Belleville, IL, died Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at his residence.

Patrick worked as a project manager at iRestore Stl, Belleville, IL. He enjoyed meeting the challenges of the job, working with his co-workers, and had always been ready to help others. Patrick loved sports and played baseball throughout high school. He turned being left-handed into a positive by playing first base. Patrick took after his grandpa Joe’s love of the ocean and spent many summers at the lake in Michigan with family. He loved riding, working on his motorcycle, and playing in his billiard league. We are very grateful to Patrick’s friends who have shared many personal stories about how Patrick had touched their lives. We will miss his free spirit, his generosity, and kindness.

He was preceded in death by an uncle, Matthew Brady; his paternal grandfather, Joseph T. Brady; and his maternal grandparents, Donald B. and Josephine Starcher.

He is survived by his mother, Linda, nee Starcher, Brady; his father, Michael (Edie) Brady; two siblings, Brian Thomas (Catherine) Brady and Melissa Nicole Snow; his grandmother, Roberta Brady; five aunts, Maura Denton, Gina Vega, Sandra Jenkins, Molly Brady, and Dana Lackey; an uncle, Donald (Stephanie) Starcher; a niece, Olivia Josephine, and a nephew on the way; and many dear cousins.

Mike, with shock and great sadness, I just heard about Patrick. Mere words cannot adequately express my sorrow at the loss of your son, Patrick. Even had I heard of this timely, Kerry and I were out of town at the time of his services. so we would have missed telling you in person of our deepest condolences. May God comfort you in this most difficult time.

Complete gut punch to hear this news. To describe Pat’s character, he was there for me no questions asked and no explanations expected at a time when there was no one else was or could be there for support.

Linda, Mike and Brian, I was shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of Patrick last week. My heart aches for you and all that knew and loved him. My earliest and fondest memories of Patrick were when he, Brian, Nancy, Danny, Trip, Carrie, and the Goodwin and Yanta girls were all brought together through the babysitting co-op! What a group of fun and amazing kids & moms! I am out of town and will be unable to be at the visitation and funeral service today. Know that I'm will be there in spirit and send prayers for strength as you say goodbye to dear Patrick. Love, Andi

”Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”“ ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭28‬-‭30‬ ‭ESV‬‬ May the Lord heal all those who are brokenhearted from this loss of Patrick. We will continue to pray for Linda and Mike during this difficult time. God Bless you all.

Pat was such a caring person. I couldn’t thank him enough for watching over my Mom the way he did. Not often you get a neighbor that was as kind and caring as he was to her. He would call to check up on her if he hadn’t seen her and after a storm. He would sit outside and talk to her while she sat on her swing. He brought her small gifts, and the best was when he brought her a Margarita, she thought that was the best. Patrick was very special to her and to me for his caring personality. He will truly be missed. Keep watching over her from above Patrick. Prayers for comfort to the family and friends.

I didn't spend a ton of time with my cousin Pat but every time I did he was a beacon of positivity and hope. He always had a kind word for me and was very interested in how I was doing. When I was just learning to drive he let me drive his Corvette around the neighborhood; for a sixteen year old this was an incredible experience. You passed too soon and you will be missed!

To say I love Patrick would be too simple of a phrase. I knew Pat it was lucky enough to be his buddy for the past 8 years. He always made me laugh we cut up and had some of the greatest times that I'll always remember. He was truly a giver in every sense of the word. Never thought for himself only for his friends and family. The world is a little colder without him in it I know that he will be greatly missed by many including myself. Something like that does not come around but once in lifetime in a true friend. I love you brother I know you're smiling down upon us since you drop 3 in hail over the entire city in St Louis we thank you for that in advance. I'll make you proud love you buddy.
