Paul C. Fiedler, 84, of Belleville, IL, born June 12, 1932, in Belleville, IL, died peacefully Friday, March 17, 2017, at 4:05 p.m. at his residence, surrounded by loved ones.

Mr. Fiedler was the past owner and operator of PCF Construction Company, Inc. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in Korea. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1028, the Belleville Elks Lodge 481, the Catholic War Veterans, the VFW Post 1739, and St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rose Mary Fiedler; his parents, Elmer A. and Rose A., nee Fiedler, Fiedler; five sisters, Dorothy Wondree, Estelle Chandler, Elvira Fiedler, Dolores Gass, and Lucille Sodam; three brothers, Ardell, Edwin, and James Fiedler; a sister-in-law, Donna Fischer; and seven brothers-in-law, Charles Fischer, John Fischer, Robert Wondree, Howard Chandler, Joseph Gass, Ernest Sodam, and Raymond Buss.
Surviving are his loving wife of 60 years, Helen E. Fiedler, nee Fischer, whom he married on September 25, 1956;
four sons, Gerard P. (Rita) Fiedler of Belleville, IL,
John C. (Lynn) Fiedler of New Athens, IL,
Timothy J. Fiedler of Old Shawneetown, IL,
and Patrick R. Oster of Belleville, IL;
four daughters, Marita R. Fiedler of Steamboat Springs, CO,
Lucy M. (David) Moss of Aurora, IL,
Vicki G. (Tony) Castro of Burr Ridge, IL,
and Laura M. (Christian) Karch of Steamboat Springs, CO;
ten grandchildren, Mathew and Michael Fiedler,
Lucas Morter, Katherine, Jennifer, and Evan Moss,
Grace, Paul, and Ida Rose Castro,
and Sofia Karch;
a great-granddaughter, Madeline Jude Fiedler;
a sister, Marilyn Buss of Darmstadt, IL;
ten sisters-in-law, Marilyn Fiedler of Belleville, IL,
Lucille Mayfield of Swansea, IL,
Nolly Fiedler-Novatski of Denver, CO,
Lidwina Schumacher of St. Rose, IL,
Mary (Stanley) Goestenkors of Breese, IL,
Sr. Bertha Fischer ASC of Ruma, IL,
Gerrie (Jairo) Mejia of Carmel, CA,
Agnes (David) Rasure of Belleville, IL,
Irma (John) Gapter of Santa Maria, CA,
and Angela (Don) Karban of Hillsboro, IL;
and two brothers-in-law, Joseph (Mary Lou) Fischer of St. Rose, IL,
and Robert Fischer of Highland, IL.

Visitation: Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, and from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. David Darin and Fr. James Thomas concelebrating.

Burial with military honors will be at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
