Paul C. Voss, 87, of Belleville, IL, born August 18, 1928, in Belleville, IL, died Thursday, July 21, 2016 at his residence.

Mr. Voss worked for the Monsanto Company for more than 30 years before his retirement, and remained active in their retiree group.  He was a lifetime member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Belleville, Illinois; he was an usher and a member of the men’s club at the church.  Paul was a U. S. Army Korean war veteran.

He was preceded in death by one grandson, Lukas Voss; his parents, Harry C. and Edna M., nee Rampenthal, Voss; two brothers, Harry and Jim Voss; two sisters, Mary Lou Dunlap and Ruth McHugh; and two sisters-in-law, Emily Voss and Rose Marie Quirin.

Surviving are his loving wife of 65 years, Betty A., nee Branom, Voss, whom he married on January 6, 1951 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Belleville, IL;
five children, Stephen P. (Marilyn) Voss of Millstadt, IL,
Nancy A. Schulte of Belleville, IL,
Joseph J. (Linda) Voss of Freeburg, IL,
Patrick Voss of Fairview Heights, IL,
and Suzanne M. Voss of Maplewood, MO;
(15) grandchildren, Cari (Chad) East,
Christina (Noah) Vineyard,
Matthew (Gayle) Schulte,
Tony (Robbie) Voss,
Alex (Nate) Parker,
Caitlin Voss,
Lily Voss,
Max Voss,
Lauren Blick,
Elayna (Zach) Wyckoff,
And Shane Blick;
nine great-grandchildren;
one brother, Richard Voss of Belleville, IL;
three sisters-in-law, Bette Voss of Belleville, IL,
Betty C.Voss of Belleville, IL,
and Helen Hollynsworth of Foley, AL;
God-child and niece, Judy Kinsella;
and many other nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Stella Wagner Endowment Fund at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation:  Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2016, at George Renner and Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.  A prayer service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Funeral:  Funeral procession will leave at 9:40 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2016, from George Renner and Sons Funeral Home, for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Fr. Christopher Anyanwu, Msgr. William McGhee, and Msgr. John Myler concelebrating.  Burial with military honors will be at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
