Pauline moved to Belleville with her parents at the age of 2. She attended Zion Lutheran School and graduated from there in 1937. That same year, she was also confirmed into Zion Lutheran Church, where she remained a life-long active member. After graduation from Belleville Township High School in 1941, she met Roy E. Kopf through mutual friends. They were married at Zion on February 10, 1946, after Roy returned from the war. Pauline was employed at Scott Air Force Base from 1965 until her retirement in 1982.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Roy; her parents, Alfred C. and Marie, nee Diefenbach, Weis; one brother, Melvin S. Weis; and one sister, Marie, nee Weis, Funke.
Surviving are three sons, Kent M. (Sue) Kopf of Cape Girardeau, MO,
Keith A. Kopf of Las Vegas, NV,
and Kevin R. (Julie) Kopf of Belleville, IL;
two granddaughters, Jennifer and Lena;
two grandsons, Jason and Ryan;
one great-granddaughter, Zoe;
one brother, Gerald E. (Marge) Weis of Belleville, IL;
one sister, Kathleen, nee Weis, (Tom) Hulen of Heyworth, IL;
and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pauline enjoyed her family and life-long friends, and would often say “Do what you can when you can.”

Visitation: Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, November 1, 2015, at George Renner and Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, November 2, 2015, at Zion Lutheran Church, Belleville, IL.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 2, 2015, at Zion Lutheran Church, Belleville, IL, with Rev. Brian Downs officiating.
Burial will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
