Ray A. Schaefer, 53, of Freeburg, IL, born May 7, 1963, in Belleville, IL, died Monday, May 23, 2016, at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen A. and Ada, nee Humphries, Schaefer; and two brothers, David and Daniel Schaefer.

Surviving are four sisters, Lisa (Clarence) Nikolauzyk of Fayetteville, IL,
Mary (Robert) Bruns of Shiloh, IL,
Joyce Ernst of Belleville, IL,
and Della Dotson of Arkansas;
and nieces and nephews.

Visitation:  Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2016, at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Freeburg, IL.

Funeral:  A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 6, at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ with Rev. Earl Crecelius officiating.  Burial of cremains will follow at Holy Childhood Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
