Raymond Anna, 81, of Red Bud, IL, born September 10, 1935, in Belleville, IL, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at his residence.

Mr. Anna was a laborer for 25 years at the American Water Company before his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Elsie, nee Weber, Anna; two sisters, Doris Apple and Ruth Bressler; and five brothers, Kenneth, William, Charles, David Anna, and Danny Elliot.

Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Iris J., nee Yagge, Anna, whom he married on December 27, 1969, in Belleville, IL;
three children, Raymond J. Anna of Red Bud, IL,
Dawn Phillips of Belleville, IL,
and Aaron E. (Nicole) Anna, of Red Bud, IL;
two grandchildren, Michael Austin Phillips and Nicholas Raymond Lee Phillips;
six brothers, Irvin (Karen) Anna,
and Mark (Carol) Anna, both of Missouri,
Harold Anna of Maryville, IL,
Michael (Mary) Anna of Hershey, PA,
Howard (Carol) Anna of Belleville, IL,
and Gerald (Sandra) Anna of Missouri;
a sister-in-law, Linda Elliot of Belleville, IL;
and nieces and nephews.

Visitation:  Friends may visit with the family from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2016, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral:  Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2016, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Rev. Tim Anna officiating.

Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, IL.

Iris, I am so sorry about Ray. If I had known, I would have been there for you, but I do not get the Belleville Paper and therefore did not know. I hope that you and your family are doing well. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. Hope you can come this year to our 50th Anniversary Reunion from Zion Grade School. Everyone asks about you and would love to see you there. Bob Campbell mailed you a flier yesterday with the information. Please feel free to call me at any time if you need to talk.
