
Mr. Dotson worked in the shipping department of Cerro Copper, Sauget, IL, before his retirement.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Charles E. and Bertha, nee Turner, Dotson; six brothers, Charlie, Jessie, Walter (Joanne), Marvin, Tommy, and Ray Don (Betty) Dotson; a sister, Norma Jean (Donald) Baker, and two brothers-in-law, Myron Hopping and Dennis Starkey.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Theresa E., nee Siegel, Dotson, whom he married on August 2, 1958;
a son, Anthony (Debbie) Dotson;
two daughters, Kathy (Ronald) Renth, and Barbara (Bernard) Lauzon;
a grandson, Matthew (Holly) Renth;
two step-grandchildren, Rachel (Chuck) Laminack and Joey (Amber) Walsh;
five step-great-grandchildren, Keagan and Klarissa Laminack, and Hunter, Joseph, and Blayke Walsh;
a brother, Earl (Laura) Dotson;
three sisters, Ruthie (Virgil) Baker, Erma Dean Hopping, Collen Starkey;
two sisters-in-law, Lydia Dotson, and Lethel Dotson;
and nieces and nephews.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Freeburg, IL, with Rev. Doug Stewart officiating.
Burial will be at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
