Mr. Nevenner was an electrical engineer for 26 years at the Boeing Corporation before his retirement. He was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association. Raymond was a member of St. Henry’s Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, and was a bingo worker and a fish fry worker at the church. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Sr. and Pearl, nee Wieman, Nevenner; one sister, Stella (Richard) Aitken; and one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Norma (Roger) Von Bokel.
Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Shirley, nee Ezell, Nevenner, whom he married on August 25, 1949;
nieces and nephews, Stephen (Lauren) Kloess,
Jean (David) Eagan,
Nancy (Jim) Kostelac,
Diane (Dr. Mark) Rippeda,
and David (Angel) Von Bokel;
one sister-in-law, Mary B. (Paul) Kloess of Belleville, IL;
and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Rev. Ken York officiating. Burial will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
