Condolences Left For Rev. William Rensing

Father Rensing was an inspiration for me and my family. He bonded with my father, who he called Irish, and who was the last to speak to my father prior to his passing. I truly hope heaven rewards Father for all of his good works on Earth. Condolences and prayers for his family.

Father Rensing faithfully served his parish family at Our Lady of Lourdes in Sparta for many years. We too were very thankful for the many visits he paid to our elderly parents when they were homebound or hospitalized, bringing them comfort and of course, the sacraments.

FR. Rensing was our pastor at Our Lady of Assumption and presided over our six children who all attended OLA school. He was a dear friend and a valued consoler to our family. He presided at the marriage of four of our children. We left OLA in 1983 and he left in 1984. Over the years we remained in contact with Fr. Bill and he took part in a number of our family activities until he could no longer get around. May he rest in peace and while we will pray for his soul we will also request that he pray for our families each day. Eternal Peace to our beloved friend.

Father Rensing was the parish priest at St. Pancratius Church in Fayetteville, IL. We have such good memories of him; especially driving the school bus to Holy Childhood School in Mascoutah. He always sent a Christmas card and stayed in touch with my parents over the years. He was such a caring person.
So sorry for your loss.
