Richard Schoen

Richard E. Schoen, 66, of Tucson, AZ, formerly of Belleville, IL, born November 16, 1949, died peacefully Friday, September 16, 2016, at his residence.

Rick was a 1967 graduate of Althoff Catholic High School. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.   He went on to have numerous college degrees and certifications, including, but not limited to, a culinary degree, hospitality and tourism degree, and a realtors certification. He always enjoyed learning. He was a potter in his earlier years, and then a successful business owner in computer supplies. Rick was proficient in Spanish and played a bilingual Santa Claus for many years.  He enjoyed traveling with Karen, reading, gardening, and fishing.

Rick was preceded in death by his partner, Karen Irby; and by his parents, Harold and Bernice, nee Biver, Schoen.

Surviving are his siblings, Barb (Ken) Anthem,
Joe (June) Schoen,
Greg (Judi) Schoen;
and nine nieces and nephews.

Funeral:  According to Rick’s wishes, cremation was held.  There are no services pending.
