Mr. Snyder attended St. Paul United Church of Christ, Belleville, IL, along with his mother in his younger years and loved God with all his heart. He had a love for music and played several instruments in his high school years. At Central Junior High School, Richard won first place in an art contest sponsored by the State of Illinois.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd A. and Ethel G., nee Herbert, Snyder; a brother, Floyd A. (Corinne) Snyder; and a sister, Mary Mae (Henry) Dawson.
Surviving are a nephew, Jeff Dawson of Belleville, IL;
and great-nephews.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2021, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Rev. Craig Bielke officiating.
Burial will be held at a later date at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
