Rita was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, where she was active in the Young at Heart club. She was a volunteer and then a full-time secretary at St. Teresa Catholic School, Belleville, IL. She was also active in Women of the Moose and you could see her every Friday eating fish at the Moose with her friends. In her spare time, Rita was an avid card player and belonged to two different ladies card groups. Card parties and bingo were a big part of her life as well. Rita loved hosting family dinners, making everything from appetizers to dessert. Family was so important to her, and she spent many years camping alongside her brother, sisters, and their families and friends at Lake Centralia.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Harvey Clinton; two sisters, Clarice Keller and Joan Gooding; and her grandson, Harrison Siddall.
Surviving are her heartbroken children, Don Jr. (Kay) Siddall, Tom (Karen) Siddall, Debbie Siddall, and Peggy (Rick) Martini; six grandchildren, Jonathan (Katie) Siddall, Michael (Krista) Siddall, Kim (David) Iberg, Sara (Matt) Hallermann, Kelly (Jake) Trtanj, and Tyler Martini; and six great-grandchildren, Ava and Ella Siddall, Riley and William Iberg, and Perry and Louise Hallermann. Rita also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. She touched so many hearts and will be dearly missed.
The family would like to thank Rita’s caregivers at the Dammert Center and the Esquiline. She loved everyone there like they were her own.
