Before his retirement Mr. Hoffarth worked as a correctional officer in El Dorado, KS, and formerly worked in the tool and die manufacturing industry in St. Louis, MO. He was a member of the Smithton Senior Center, Smithton, IL, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Hoffarth Sr; and a brother-in-law, Russell Kimme.
Surviving are two sons, Chris Hoffarth of El Dorado, KS,
and Jim (Aimi) Hoffarth of Belleville, IL;
five grandchildren, Jordan, Zach,
Dylan, Dixie Lee,
Abigail, and Bryanna;
his mother, Annabelle M., nee Creekpaum, Hoffarth, of New Athens, IL;
a sister, Karen Kimme of Waterloo, IL;
and a niece, Sarah Kimme.

Visitation: Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2016, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.
