Robert Homer Linder, 67, of Freeburg, IL, born March 22, 1952, in Belleville, IL, died Thursday, August 15, 2019, at his residence.

Mr. Linder was a Coal Miner / Steel Worker before his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Shirley Jean, nee Kessler, Linder; and a sister, Pamela Linder.

Surviving are four brothers, Richard (Joan) Linder of Tulsa, OK,
John (Cheryl) Linder of Fayetteville, IL,
Joel (Linda) Linder of Addieville, IL,
And Jeffery Linder of Mascoutah, IL;
a sister, Patty Powell of St. Louis, MO;
and many nieces and nephews.

Private family services were held.

Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Freeburg, IL.

Bob was the greatest political debater ever residing on Cherrytree Lane. I will miss him for his sincere love of listening to others and their ideas. He was my friend.

Bob and I work together at the Steel Mill .Him and I enjoyed sharing human resources of the unfortunate situations in people's life Bob always had something positive something positive to say of how there needs to be a change in our country for the peoples. He will be missed as a dear friend and someone to talk to .My sympathy it's toward his family is well may God bless you and keep you Minister Frank Wagner

Bob was always so nice to talk to, and we enjoyed having him as a neighbor. He had a long struggle, and I hope he is at peace now. Our deepest sympathy to the family. Dan & Rosanne Hettenhausen

Our deepest condolences to the Linder Family. Glennon worked with Bob at the River King Mine in Freeburg from 1973 until it closed. He was a hard worker and fun to be around. We will miss seeing him at St Joseph fish fries.
