Mr. Otte was a sales representative retired from Swedish Match Company and had also worked as a buyer for Weeke Wholesale Company. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Lorene, nee Lindenberg, Otte; and two brothers-in-law, Norman Ludwig and Earl Jr. (Virginia) Krick.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Sandra, nee Santomenna, Otte, whom he married on June 2, 1962, at Zion Lutheran Church in Belleville, IL;
a daughter, Lisa Largent (Raymond Fann) of Belleville, IL;
two sons, Michael (Kathy) Otte of O’Fallon, IL,
and Jeffrey Otte (fiancee, Casey Streich) of Collinsville, IL;
six grandchildren, Andrew Largent (fiancee, Clare Bultmann),
R. Brice Otte, Alex Otte, Aubrey Otte, Layla Smock, and Peyton Otte;
and his sister, Carole Ludwig of Belleville, IL.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2015, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015, at the funeral home with Rev. Cari Frus officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
Oh, Sandy, I am so sorry. I would be there if I could, but I am housebound with home health care after the first of two hip replacements. My thoughts are with you in this period of grief. Call if you want to talk.
