Dr. Robert L. Riesenberger, 69, of Belleville, IL, born February 22, 1947, in Belleville, IL, died Friday, July 29, 2016, at his residence.

Bob graduated from Belleville Township High School in 1965.  He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1969.  His office was located in south St. Louis City where he practiced for 40 years.  He spent his life as a caretaker to all who knew him.  He devoted his life to God, family, friends, and to his patients.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Sharon Riesenberger; one son, Kristopher J. Riesenberger; one granddaughter, Hannah Riesenberger;  grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Surviving are his loving wife of 33 years, Karen, nee Pence, Riesenberger, whom he married on May 21, 1983;
two sons, Randall (Amy) Riesenberger,
Ronald Riesenberger;
one daughter, Jennifer Wollmann;
five grandchildren, Rachel (Paul) Durante,
Leah, Avarah,
Adah, and Isaac Riesenberger;
his parents, Cordell and Margaret, nee Stuempler, Riesenberger of Belleville, IL;
and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, or to Hospice of Southern Illinois.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation:  Friends may visit with the family 9 to 11:40 A.M. Saturday, August 6, 2016, at George Renner and Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral: Funeral procession will leave at 11:40 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2016, from George Renner and Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, for a 12 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Catholic, Belleville, IL, with Fr. Christopher Anyanwu officiating.  Burial will follow at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.

He was the best chiropractor ever!! He healed my back from an auto incident. Be healed my hands the day before my guitar jury in college so I was able to graduate. He was a kind and phenomenal human if I ever knew one. My eternal condolences to his wife, kids, and all who knew him.
