Bob loved his family and friends more than anything. He had a passion for writing poetry for many years and published two books. He was a huge fan of politics and enjoyed discussing it, especially with his mother, Ellen. Bob worked for ARTCO (American River Transport Company) in St. Louis, MO, for many years, retiring in 2017.
He loved everyone, and they loved him. Bob was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend. He had a heart of gold. His favorite saying was “Whatever”.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Lewis Abbott, Jr.; his father-in-law, James Renner; two brothers, Danny Whitford and Roger Moist; and two brothers-in-law, Keith Allison and Steve Renner.
Surviving are the love of his life, Kathy “Missy” Renner;
his mother, Ellen, nee Dalpiaz, Abbott;
five sisters, Sheryl (Bill) Coston, Rita Purcell, Terrie Allison, Patty (Steve) Raynes, and Beverly (Terry) Knoth;
three brothers, Dallas (Laura) Whitford, Ronny Whitford and Brent (Andrea) Abbott;
his mother-in-law, Eileen Renner;
brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim (Elaine) Renner, Michelle Renner, Dan (Kathy) Renner, Mary (Gary) Blome, and Jean (Martin) Kosydor;
and many loving, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family.
