Ronald C. Muckensturm, 78, of Belleville, IL passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at the age of 78. Ronnie died peacefully with his beloved wife, Carol by his side.

Ron was born in Belleville on July 29, 1943, to father Raymond William Muckensturm and his mother Ruby LaRue (Browning) Muckensturm.  He went to Cathedral Grade & High Schools.  He was the supervisor of Central Processing at St. Elizabeth and Memorial Hospitals.  Ron loved painting ceramics, watching the birds, playing cards, enjoying his deck, and spending time with his family.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents and his three infant sons, twins, James and John and Joseph Muckensturm.

He is survived by his wife Carol Sue (Storner) Muckensturm;
two daughters, Jill (Darrin) Kraft and Julie (Nathaniel) Heltne;
grandchildren, Jarrid (Sarah) Kraft, Jakob (Shnia) Kraft, Trevon Jordan, Nicholas Heltne, Jordan Kraft, Natalie Heltne and Joel Kraft;
great granddaughter, JaNia Adams-Kraft;
two brothers, Daniel (Merry) Muckensturm, Texas, and Dale (Joyce) Muckensturm;
a sister, Pamela Sue Muckensturm;
sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kay (Dennis) Tribout, Marvin (Charlee) Storner;
beloved nieces and nephews;
many cousins and friends;
and his fur baby, Ginger.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, or to Coalition Life- 40 Days for Life. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral: Mass of Christian burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Father Joseph Oganda officiating.

Private family burial will be held at a later date.

By reading all of these posts you can see what a great positive impression he made on so many including me. Ron was one of the kindest, caring employees I’d ever came in contact with over my almost 40 years at Memorial. Well respected man. Prayers for his family & friends. 🙏

Carol, you have my deepest sympathy. I was so surprised to see Ron's Obituary in the paper. He was one of the best bosses I ever had. When ever we saw each other we would always talk. I will miss him.

so sorry for your loss, carol and girls; Ron was a very good man; in every way... he was respected at st. elizabeth's hospital and Memorial as well...He was a good friend to all of us St Teresa's group when we participated in st teresa's events; and our good camping trips!
