Ronald Lee “Ron” Pannier, 73, of Belleville, IL, born July 4, 1943, in Belleville, IL, died Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Mr. Pannier was an upholsterer for 50 years and the owner of Cut & Cover Upholstery in Belleville, IL.  He loved fishing and deer hunting. He also enjoyed gardening and growing his own vegetables.  Mr. Pannier’s favorite hobby was restoring antique cars, and in his earlier days he raced stock cars.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Leona, nee Carrol, Pannier; and his step-father, Harold Knipp.

Surviving are his wife of 40 years, JoAnn R., nee Fuhs, Pannier, whom he married on October 21, 1976;
his daughter, Crystal Pannier of Missouri;
five step-children, Kenneth Loeser of Fairbanks, AK,
Denice Johnson of New Baden, IL,
Theresa (Rick) Mitchell of Belleville, IL,
Donna Loeser of Belleville, IL,
and Gerry Loeser of Belleville, IL;
five brothers and a sister, William (Sue) Pannier of Belleville, IL,
Kenton Pannier of Arkansas,
Ralph (Maggie) Pannier of Zapata, TX,
Dennis (Verla) Pannier of Pekin, IL,
Gil (Cheryl) Pannier of Smithton, IL,
and Sharon (Larry) Miller of Millstadt, IL;
six grandchildren;
16 great- grandchildren;
one great-great-grandchild;
and his beloved dog, Simi.

Visitation:  Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.  Military Honors will be held at 7:30 p.m.
