Rose Ann Heet-Stoeber, 72, of Belleville, IL, born July 9, 1946, in Belleville, IL, died Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO.

Wife, Sister, Mom, Grandma and Aunt, Rose passed away at Barnes Jewish Hospital at the tender age of 72 years on Wednesday, the 23rd of January 2019. Born and raised in a close-knit family on a farm in Belleville, IL, she learned early the importance of family and thought the world of her little brother Ed (Barb). This is also where she met and fell in love with our father Ron. Mom was wonderfully devoted to her two children Laura and William (Tina). She was a loving Grandmother to Jayden, an adoring Aunt of Maria (Aaron) and Matt (Amy), along with the children of her beloved niece and nephew.

Our mother was very busy, raising children, keeping the house in order, working to make a living on top of organizing the next family get together. She spent over 30 years working with Ralston Purina/Nestle in St. Louis, Mo., honing her skills in project management. In her retirement, let’s face it…she did not really retire, instead she took on new projects to manage.

Her favorite pass time was antiquing, and with gardening in a close second place, which normally involved her attacking the clothes line with either the tractor or the lawn mower, or simply making others laugh. She led by example. There was never a job too large or too small that she would not tackle. Mom was a strong, determined and a fiercely independent woman. We will miss her every day.

Special thanks to the wonderful doctors and nurses at Siteman Cancer Center and Barnes Jewish Hospital, and to Mom’s friends that stood by her side and made her laugh when the situation became critical and especially to our beloved cousin Maria, who consistently went the extra mile for Mom up to the very end.

Memorials may be made to the Sarcoma Foundation of America (www.curesarcoma.org). Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, February 7, 2019, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 7, 2019, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.

Burial will be held at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.

Condolences:

Vince and I are so sorry to hear that Rose Ann has passed away. Deepest sympathy to Ron, William and Laura and the rest of the family. Rose Ann was one of my best friends in high school and I was just thinking about her the other day. We had so many fun times together. May the wonderful memories we all have of her help to ease the pain of her passing.

Ron, Laura and William my heart goes out to you at this sad time. I can’t even imagine doing without all the phone calls I’ll be missing with Rosie. I’ve known her since grade school but only really got to know how funny, clever and bright she is in the last few years. Life can be hard sometimes but hopefully God will help you through this.

I am deeply saddened by the news of your loss on the passing of Rose Ann. My sincere condolences to Ron, William, Laura and your entire family. Words cannot describe what I am feeling. A friend told me at my mothers wake, Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. Remembering her wonderful and gentle soul will forever remain in our hearts. I regret how far we drifted away tending to our complicated lives. May Rosie rest in peace! I pray that Our Lord brings you and your family the much needed peace during this sad and difficult time.

So sorry for the loss of your mom. I had the pleasure of meeting her after my dad passed in2009. She was interested in possibly taking art lessons. I think your grandma, Toots took lessons from my dad many years ago. Anyway, sounds like your mom touched many and left the world a better place. I enjoyed meeting her and talking about our families. A special person, indeed.
