Ruth Marie Arnold, nee Beuckman, 95, of Belleville, IL, born December 12, 1919, in East St. Louis, IL, died Saturday, May 16, 2015, at the Dammert Center at Our Lady of the Snows Shrine, Belleville, IL.

Mrs. Arnold worked for Hartford Fire Insurance Company for 35 years before her retirement. She was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church, Belleville, IL. Ruth was also a member of the St. Clair Women’s Club, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Ruthie, with her warm and loving ways, was more like a mother and grandmother to us all.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard “Pat” J. Arnold; her parents, William and Elizabeth, nee Welte, Beuckman; three brothers, Fred, Tom, and Paul Beuckman; and four sisters, Mildred Frick, Elizabeth Gerold, Dorothy Zaschak, and Margaret Laud.

Surviving are her sister, Virginia Marsh of Jackson, MS;
and numerous nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Sue DeMarse.

Memorials may be made to St. Luke’s Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, or to Heartland Hospice.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation:  Friends may call from 10:45 to 11:15 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015, at the Apartment Community Chapel at Our Lady of the Snows Shrine.

Funeral:  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015, at the Apartment Community Chapel at Our Lady of the Snows Shrine.

Burial will be at Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
