Sharon K. Hecke, nee Frazer, 74, of Belleville, IL, born December 26, 1942, in Chester, IL, died Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at St. Paul’s Home, Belleville, IL.

Mrs. Hecke was a bookkeeper and office manager at Donovan, Rose, Nester & Jolley PC, Belleville, IL, before her retirement.  Sharon was a real outdoor girl who enjoyed camping, traveling, and fishing with her husband, Victor.  She also enjoyed golfing and bowling. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Belleville, IL.

Sharon was preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years, Victor O. Hecke, whom she married on October 6, 1973, and who died on February 13, 2012; her parents, Hubert and Geraldine, nee Badgely, Frazer; and a brother, Kenneth Frazer.

Surviving are her sister-in-law, Aletha (Jim) Schon of Belleville, IL;
a niece, Dianne (Joseph) Stock of Belleville, IL;
a nephew, Roland (Lynn) Biehl of Smithton, IL;
and great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family wishes to thank the staff at The Arbors at Parkway Gardens of Fairview Heights and at St. Paul’s Home, as well as the Visiting Angels and Hospice of Southern Illinois for their care, love, and support.

Memorials may be made to the St. Paul United Church of Christ, to the Alzheimer’s Association, or to Hospice of Southern Illinois.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation:  Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2017, and from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2017, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral:  Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2017, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Rev. Herbert Schafale officiating.

Burial will be at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
