Mrs. Green worked part-time in the jewelry department at Famous Barr for over 17 years. Shirley had a great sense of humor and was very quick-witted. She was simple, happy, and easy going. She always wanted to include people and loved watching the Game Show Network.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Richard Green, whom she married on May 11, 1957, and who died on February 4, 2011; her parents, William and Marie, nee Gain, Anderson; a daughter, Nancy L. Green; a granddaughter, Nancy Czaicki; a sister, JoAnne (Paul) Mertens; a brother, William Anderson; and a brother-in-law, Harry B. Hutchings.
Surviving is a daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” Czaicki of St. Louis, MO;
two sons, Larry Green of St. Charles, Mo,
and Daniel (Julia) Green of O’Fallon, MO;
six grandchildren, Danny, Ryan, Caroline, Natalie, Abigail, and
Olivia Green;
one sister, Jean Hutchings of Belleville, IL;
one brother, Dale (Dawn) Anderson of Belleville, IL;
a sister-in-law, Sue Anderson, St. Louis, MO;
and many dear nieces and nephews.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. William McGhee officiating.
Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
