Shirley was my dear friend. She taught me how to sew. I’ll miss her forever. She would bring my mother cakes and pies on holidays, and would often invite us over for tea or lunch.

She was the sweetest lady! Always checking up on me when I was having health problems. She was the best neighbor. I am gonna miss her! Every time I look across the street it off because I don’t see her sitting at the door with her dog! Or her walking over to say hi everyday to every other day when she saw me or mom outside. Condolences to her family and friends.

I just met Shirley this year and I'm so glad I did. She was just the sweetest lady, always with a smile. She painted pictures of two of my cats and she did a beautiful job. She was so talented. She will be greatly missed. My condolences to the family.

I visited with Shirley and her puppy this past week (not sure what afternoon but it might have even been Thursday.). I don’t think I took her any mending…. but just stopped by. She showed me drawings she had done of dogs and I showed her pictures I have been working on that happened to be in my car. We had a delightful visit. I’m so happy I connected with her that day. She was a GIFT and a BLESSING!! RIP Shirley….Good and Faithful Servant!

Dear Becky and family, My heart is broken over the loss of your sweet mother and my dear friend. Shirley was such a gift to all of us who knew her. She was one of God’s angels on earth, always trying to make people happy, and doing whatever she could to show God’s love. We met through our love of dogs and also bonded over our love for Jesus and St. Matthew. We would give each other a big hug every Sunday morning before service started, and I will miss those so very much! Lunches at her house or out at a restaurant were always special! I loved her huge smile, her warm hugs, and her cute laugh! But most of all, I loved her heart, because it was huge! I know that Heaven is even more beautiful now that she is there, and she is happier than she’s ever been! I am praying that you will feel God’s loving arms wrapped around you, holding you close and filling you with his peace in the days and weeks ahead!

So sorry to hear of my friend Shirley’s passing. She was such a sweetheart. She painted picture of my dog Maddie without having ever seen her. She loved her dog and I pray sincerely that someone can take him and love him like she did. God bless her family. I will miss her, even though I have recently moved to Florida

Rebecca, your dear mother was one of my best friends. We sat together in church & often in SS. Your mother was like St. Paul—to live was Christ, to die was gain. I loved hearing stories about your mother’s Dougie, humming birds, mosquito plants, sewing, and her amazing schedule! I will miss your mother terribly, but I am so thankful that she didn’t have extended physical suffering before she left us. Phyllis Schuetz
