Nancy Sue Obernuefemann, nee Mulconnery, 76, of Belleville, IL, formerly of Collinsville, IL, born February 26, 1942, in St. Louis, MO, died Monday, January 21, 2019, at Caseyville Nursing Home, Caseyville, IL.

Mrs. Obernuefemann was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was particularly fond of and was a great supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerome Roy and Dorothy, nee Soucy, Mulconnery; a brother, Jerry Mulconnery; and dear buddy and canine companion,  “Teddy Bear.”

Surviving are a son, Joseph Roy (Marie) Obernuefemann of Swansea, IL;
a daughter, Tina (Robert) Korte of Caseyville, IL;
seven grandchildren, Ashley Holmes, Rachael Wright, Christina Doyle, Rebecca Obernuefemann, Chianna Obernuefemann, Amanda Korte, and Joey Obernuefemann;
nine great-grandchildren, Martina, Jacob, Emmah, Eldon, Kelton, Kyler, Bryleigh, Logan, and Brody;
a sister, Marilyn Amburn of Belleville, IL;
numerous nieces and nephews;
and many friends.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff of Family Hospice for their compassionate care of Sue.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon Saturday, January 26, 2019, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral:  Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Saturday, January 26, 2019, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. William McGhee officiating.

Burial will be held at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
