Tamara “Tammy” Marie Lash, nee O’Heron, 62, born October 14, 1959, in Naples, Italy, died Saturday, April 23, 2022, at her home in Columbia, MO.

Tammy was a strong person who endured many trials in her life.  At 19, Tammy was critically injured in a car accident.  After a prolonged recovery period, she graduated with an associate degree from Belleville Area College.  At 47, Tammy was successfully treated for a brain tumor. The “apple of her eye” was her son, Jason, who she loved dearly. Tammy was loved by all and will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Major James J. “Jim” O’Heron, USAF, who died March 11, 1967; and her mother, Betty Jean, nee Winkleman, O’Heron, who died November 30, 2014.

Surviving are her son, Jason Dean (Kit) Lash; two grandchildren, Eleanor and Henry; her siblings, Scott (Judy) O’Heron, Shawn (Tina) O’Heron, Gilmary (Richard) Weachter, and her twin, Terry (Carolyn) O’Heron; eight nieces and nephews; 12 great-nieces and great-nephews; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation:  Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2022, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral:  Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2022, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Burial will be at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens, Old Highway US 51, Villa Ridge, IL.

Sending condolences, thoughts and prayers to the entire O'Heron family. I have great neighborhood memories of growing up with Tammy whether on Whitlow Drive or at Pine Tree Station! She always gave that beautiful smile and exhibited a relentless attitude.
