I first met Terry when I was a very young child. He was really good friends with my grandfather Ernie Hamilton. I started working at the TGI Fridays in Fairview Heights when I was maybe 18 or 19 and Terry met my grandfather there for lunch multiple times a week, and at that time it seemed like he knew every single employee by name and they all knew him as well. If I'm going to be 100% honest, I think he was the kindest, fairest, best example of what a police officer can & should be. A great man and a great police officer. I can only hope at least some of his fellow officers learned from him while they could.

Such a shock to learn of Terry's death as he delivered meds to The Esquiline, and St. Francis Assisted Living on Monday . We all enjoyed his humor, jokes, and he loved our strawberry candy from the dish on my desk. He will be missed! Our thoughts and prayers are with the Family. We are shocked and saddened to hear of Terry's passing. Terry set my wife and I up on a blind date back in 1982. We actually called him last October to thank him for putting us together. We had a long talk with him and I think he enjoyed it as much as we did. Again, our condolences.

Our deepest condolences to Terry’s family. Terry & my husband were classmates at Althoff High School. I always enjoyed his kindness when he delivered my prescriptions from Medic Pharmacy & then from Hideg. When another classmate of Terry & Mike’s informed us of Terry’s passing, all I could say “ Who’s going to deliver my drugs?” It was a running joke between Terry & I.....” in your former career, you chased drug dealers & now you deliver drugs!” Sending prayers your way.
