Thomas was a Sales Representative for Jul Fischer Distributing in East St. Louis, IL prior to his retirement. He was also a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, Knights of Columbus Council 592, Fairview Heights, IL, and the Shiloh Eagles 545, Belleville, IL.
Mr. Hoffmann was preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Mary Louise, nee Wenzel, Hoffmann.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Catherine “Nan”, nee Beckman, Hoffmann;
two daughters, Elaine (Teddy) Puckett of The Woodlands, TX,
and Susan (Dave) Frank of Perrysburg, OH;
four grandchildren, Meredith and Erica Puckett,
and Michael and Nicholas Frank;
a sister, Judith Foster of Chesterfield, MO;
a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Margie and Paul Miller;
four nieces, Lynne (Phil) Diest,
Maggie (Keith) Grotefendt,
Louisa Hay,
and Nayla Foster.

Visitation: Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2016, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL with Msgr. David Darin officiating. A prayer service will be held 6:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2016, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.
Private family burial will be held at a later time.
