Mr. Neff was a retired operating engineer with Local 520. He was also a farmer on the Neff family farm. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Paderborn, IL.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Gregory and Hedwig, nee Wachtel, Neff; two brothers, Stanley Neff and Norman Neff; a sister-in-law, Leann Mulholland; and three brothers-in-law, Donald Cortner, Donald Grohmann, and Donald Light.
Surviving are his wife of 39 years, April, nee Juenger, Neff, whom he married on February 11, 1977;
two daughters and a son, Catherine Asbridge of Smithton, IL,
Kelly Hill of Freeburg, IL,
and Thomas Jr. (Laura) Neff of Smithton, IL;
three very special grandchildren, Thomas Neff III, Olivia Asbridge, and Lacie Hill;
eight sisters, Loretta Chapman, Sister Hedwig “Gertrude” Neff, ASC,
Aurelia Bell, Dorothy (Bryce) Delancey, Celestine “Sally” Neff,
Alice Grohmann, Patricia Cortner, and Myra (James) Middendorf;
a brother, Cletus (Mary) Neff;
two sisters-in-law, Rosie Neff and Rita Neff;
six sisters-in-law, Mary Light, Dawn Juenger, Cindy (Steve) Galle, Patty (Dwight) Kern, Rosie Neff and Rita Neff;
a brother-in-law, Leo Juenger;
and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
