My deepest sympathy to you Jim and the rest of Mrs. Voelkel's family. When I would visit she always made me feel like a son and I thought of her as my Mom. She is in a much better place. May she rest in peace.

Ginny was not only my Aunt , she was my Godmother. I remember the time my car broke down and with no one else to call , she drove all the way to Fairview Heights from Belleville and back to take me to work . I remember many Easters with her cookies , she would give me a tray to give my mom and I would eat them all and not give my mom any . My mom would say “ you love Aunt Ginnys cookies more than mine ! And yes I did ! So many happy Easters and Christmas Eve was this lovely ladies Birthday! What a present she was to my grandma Vesta Grissom. I Loved her so , I will miss her so much . I know her two brothers ( one being my dad) already in heaven will be so glad to see her . She was not only my Godmother, but a second mom to me
