Walter O. James, Jr., 59, of Belleville, IL, born February 13, 1964, in East St. Louis, IL, died Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO.

Walter was a self-employed handyman with remarkable ability. He was a caring and loving father who adored his son, Dustin.  Walter also enjoyed his dog, Buddy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Sr. and Eolia, nee Emery, James; two sisters, Diana Pier and Patricia Mahan; and three brothers, Dennis, Roger, and Donnie James.

He is survived by Peggy James;
his son, Dustin James;
two grandchildren, Roman and Raelynn James;
three siblings, Brenda James, Cynthia Nicoloff, and Ricky James;
two step-children, Shawn (Francesca) Shramek and Heidi Shramek;
special friends, Sandy Korobey, Steve Martin, and Scott Kraut;
and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

According to Walter’s wishes, cremation services were held.

Burial will be held in Sikeston, MO, with his family.

My heart goes out to the whole family. Prayers go out to all of you. You have had so much loss over the years. I hope you all can move on knowing that you will have all these Angels to look over you. Love you all.

After many years of friendship, Walt can rest in piece after his battle, he really fought hard.. I will miss him dearly..
