Walter David Mackevicius, 67, of Belleville, IL, born April 2, 1956, in Belleville, IL, died Friday, September 8, 2023.

Walter was a transporter for Helping Hand Transportation. He was an Eagle Scout and avid hunter. Walter was a United States Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Shirley, nee Hargraves, Mackevicius; and his sister, Monica Hernandez.

He is survived by his sisters, Aleta (Jerry) Korba and Loretta Mackevicius; two nephews, Shawn Forker and James Korba; one niece, Lindsey Mackevicius; three great nieces, Taylor Arnett, Adyline, and Evelyn Korba; and a great nephew, Liam Forker.

According to Walter’s wishes, cremation services were held.

A memorial luncheon will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Swansea Moose Lodge, Swansea, IL.

I am so sorry to hear this...I can remember all the half barrel parties and rolling stones in his car. Lots of good memories....he will be deeply missed. May God comfort you in your grieving. Katie Mielke

Loretta and Aleta- Words çannot express the dismay that l felt when l read about Dave. He was a good guy. Having recently lost my own brother, l am aware of some of what you are going through. I ask for God to give you strength and to hold you in the palm of His hand as you work through this. RIP, Dave. You will be missed.
