Mr. Hiller worked at Swift and Company for 18 years and retired from Cerro Copper after 30 years of employment. He was a member of St. Mary’s Parish, Belleville, IL. Bill was a U.S. Navy Korean war veteran and a member of the Catholic War Veterans Post 370, Belleville, IL.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Verla M., nee Scheibel, Hiller, whom he married on October 1, 1955, and who died on July 24, 2015; his parents, William A. Jr. and Margaret, nee Schonhoff, Hiller.
Surviving are his daughter, Judy M. (Gary) Schroeder of Fairview Heights, IL;
his son, John P. (Angie) Hiller of O’Fallon, IL;
four grandchildren, Stephanie and Brett Schroeder
and Jack and Sam Hiller;
and one sister, Jackie Dengler of Belleville, IL.

Visitation: Friends may visit with the family from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at
St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.
Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s with Msgr. John Myler officiating. Burial will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
