Billy never seemed to know a stranger and was a friend to many. He worked for many years at the Monroe Community Hospital in Rochester, New York, before retiring and moving to Illinois to be closer to family. He loved to fish (especially in Canada), play cards, complete puzzles, and watch the Boston Red Sox, but mostly he loved his family and friends, and, being a man of faith, loved God. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Erma Jaworski; and his brother, Richard Jaworski.
Billy is survived by his nephew, David Jaworski;
his niece, Linda (Steve) Jaworski-Moiles;
his great-nephew, Joseph;
and by several cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that any donations be made to one of the following organizations: Cornerstone Deaf Church in Belleville, Belleville Area Humane Society, American Cancer Society, or Hospice of Southern Illinois. Funeral: A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Rev. Marva Petrus officiating.
Billy will be interred alongside his parents and grandparents at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Great Bend, NY.
