William was a truck driver for 52 years. He was very family oriented and the patriarch of the family, as well as a very loving husband and father.
He was preceded in death by a son, George Schaub III; and his parents, Paul and Helen, nee Hawk, Stell; and a brother, Paul “Rocky” Stell.
Surviving are his wife of 26 years, Penny, nee Rutherford, Stell, whom he married on December 20, 1991;
five children, William “Will” Stell Jr., John (Kimberly) Stell, Kimberly (Charlie) Shockey, Lisa (Jeremy) Meyer, and Amber (Len) Sutton;
14 grandchildren, Matthew, Cameron, Timothy, Stacey, Jackie, Jacob, Andrew, Olivia, Madeline, Abby, Lit, Gage, Mason and Daelynn;
eight brothers and sisters, Shurley (Ron) Ellison, Donna Andrews, Louise (Randy) Gentelin, Frank (Kim) Stell, Paul Eugene (Jo) Stell, Helen “Stormy” (Tim) Overman, Gloyd “Bo” (Angie) Stell, and Joe (Alexis) Stell;
and extended family members, Mary Stell, Dorothy Stewart, Marvin Johnson, and Wanda Ross.

Funeral: Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Rev. Tim Overman officiating.
Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, IL, at a later date.
